Overview
Floating with the Current
Floating is a different way to be in the mangrove. You're not on a path or in a boat, you're in the water itself, moving with the current through narrow channels lined with trees. Sometimes you let the current carry you, sometimes you swim a few strokes to navigate, sometimes you stop, lean back and just look up at the canopy. There are monkeys in the trees, birds passing through, the sound of leaves and water. It's playful and sensory. A perspective you don't get any other way, and it tends to stay with people. Throughout, your guide shares what makes this place tick, the species, the rhythms, what you're seeing. Basic comfort in the water is needed.
